What is hextech mystery champion shard?

Hextech Mystery Champion Shard is a loot item in League of Legends that can be obtained by using Hextech Crafting. When opened, it will reveal a random champion shard which can be disenchanted for Blue Essence or upgraded to a permanent champion with the required amount of essence.

The cost of a Hextech Mystery Champion Shard is 170RP or one Hextech Key and three Hextech Chests.

Players have a chance of obtaining any champion that they do not already own, including the most recently released champions. Additionally, shards for higher priced champions have a lower drop rate compared to cheaper ones.
